ICUWB is meant to become a world-class annual rendezvous for research & innovation in wireless broadband and its ubiquitous applications.

PERSWADE’s Program Director along with its co-applicants, industrial and academic partners made their great efforts at bringing to Montreal the IEEE ICUWB 2015 under the theme Wireless Highways to the Digital Economies & Smart Societies.

This event offered PERSWADE’s students precious and unique opportunities for networking, broadening their knowledge, hearing from top experts and interacting with them, etc., and to play their roles in the success of ICUWB!

This event involves two key aspects that both translate PERSWADE’s prime objective of providing PERSWADE’s students with unique added-value training activities:

1- Attending the conference and benefiting from most of its program components: a condensed package of 4 tutorials, 7 panels, 7 keynotes, and 4 invited talks, that is on the top of 33 technical sessions. The first objective is that PERSWADE’s students can learn more about an impressive range of novel wireless techs & apps in new ways that could have never been offered to them in any other context.

2- Getting involved in the conference organization through volunteering. The second objective is that PERSWADE’s students can try their organizational skills and perfect them through their involvements.

Fifteen papers from PERSWADE’s students were presented at the conference. The PERSWADE Best Paper Award 2015 was presented to Dr. Mohammad Moshiur Rahman (ÉTS).
