    2018 WINTER Call for Applications

    We are pleased to invite outstanding eligible students to apply for enrolment in the PERSWADE Program. All applications have to be submitted by email directly to yang.chen@emt.inrs.ca no later than November 30, 2017. Please refer to the Program Guide for further details on the application form and the required documents list. A Notification of Acceptance letter will be sent to the selected students following the evaluation process carried out by the PERSWADE’s Evaluation Committee based on the following assessment indicators:  Academic excellence (25%), Research experience/potential (25%), Relevance/timeliness of research topic and fit with PERSWADE’s scope (15%), Project’s level of integration within an industrial project/contract (10%), Industry-hosted internship planning and integration levels with respect to the proposed project (10%), and Student’s industrial mentorship/co-supervision (15%).

     

    Please note that students accepted for enrolment in the PERSWADE Program may receive RETROACTIVE PAYMENTS pending funds availability.

    PERSWADE Training Day at Poly: Introduction to Machine Learning: Applications, Opportunities and Trends

    This seminar introduces why, how and when to use machine learning. It explores the basics of neural networks and deep learning models. It also explains the implementation of a fully functional environment for image classification using neural networks. It is a unique opportunity for PERSWADE trainees to deal with such advanced simulation/emulation environments. At the end of the day you will know most of what is needed to run and make state-of-the-art ANNs.
