a. The Program Director is actively involved in all PERSWADE committees.
b. The SC develops and updates the program structure and policies based in part on the EC’s recommendations, and reports both to the PC and NSERC for assessment, approval, and feedback.
c. The PC has an oversight role by approval of or request of adjustment in the program’s general orientations and policies based on SC’s reporting.
d. The EC ranks and rates applications or evaluates follow-up/progress/internship/survey forms then transmits recommendations or overall assessment and analysis, respectively, to the SC.
e. The Program Coordinator assists Program Director and interfaces with all stakeholders.
f. The University Focal Points at the five participating universities are: Prof. Sofiène Affes, INRS; Prof. François Gagnon, ETS; Prof. Ferhat Khendek, Concordia; Prof. Fabrice Labeau, McGill; Prof. Ke Wu, Polytechnique.
g. Unless specified otherwise, the Industrial Focal Points are by default the Industrial Collaborators as listed on our website.

Step 0: Initiate application or follow-up/progress/internship/survey form
Step 1: Validate compliance then transmit to appropriate University Focal Point
Step 2: Validate data of application or form internally (academic, financial, legal, etc.) with the appropriate people (e.g., advisor(s), registrar, etc.) then send back to Program Coordinator
Step 3: Validate compliance then transmit to the appropriate Industry Focal Point if applicable (i.e., availability of an industrial co-advisor or mentor, compulsory though for internships)
Step 4: If applicable (cf. Step 3 above), validate data of application or form internally (academic, financial, legal, etc.) with the appropriate people (e.g., advisor or mentor if any, HR, etc.) then send back to Program Coordinator
Step 5: Collect applications or forms, validate their compliance, and then transmit them to the Evaluation Committee
Step 6: Rank and rate applications or evaluate follow-up/progress/internship/survey forms then transmit recommendations or overall assessment and analysis, respectively, to the Scientific Committee
Step 7: Confirm admissions with possible funding based on both EC’s ranking/rating and budget availability or recommend policy and program amendments/addendums based on EC’s overall assessment and analysis, then send back to the Evaluation Committee for cross-validation whenever required
Step 8: Cross-validate SC’s recommendations whenever required then send back to the Program Coordinator
Step 9: Announce new admissions or policy and program amendments/addendums to Students/PDFs.
